HOT-COLD
SPRINGS:
Ardent Hot Springs and Sto. Nino Cold Springs are two of the
most visited spots on the island. |
| >>We
have a few favorites of our own that are off the beaten track
and much less visited including Johnny’s
personal
favorite, Saay Cold Spring.
Enjoy horseback riding, biking, trekking or 4-wheel tours to
these delightful spots. |

WATERFALLS:
Katibawasan Falls at 75 meters is the crown jewel of numerous
Camiguin waterfalls. Enjoy the magnificent mountain setting
as you wade in its glory. Tuasan
Falls
and Binangawan (Rainbow) Falls also top our list of must-see
for the cross-island adventurer. |
|
>> RAINFORRESTS:
Camiguin Island boasts seven volcanoes with numerous ranges
and forests linking the mountains. Abundant plant and wildlife
including numerous endemic species make our trekking, hiking
and biking tours memorable. |

OUR OCEANS:
Camiguin
Island is surrounded by the Bohol
Sea
to the North and the Mindanao
Sea
to the South. Numerous islands, coral reefs, shoals and bays
are home to an amazing variety of marine life to be enjoyed
by all levels of divers and day trippers. Whale Sharks
make their annual journey to nearby Gingoog
Bay
- an experience, if at all possible, not to be missed. |

VOLCANOES:
Mt. Hibok-Hibok
is our active Volcano, while six others remain in their permanent
state of deep-sleep. Last erupting in 1951, Hibok-Hibok
at 1,250 meters is a must for the hiking enthusiast. Our favorite
approach is through the back side at Mt.
Itum,
with a return down the face ending at Ardent Hot Springs
where you may need to soak those muscles…Mt. Mambajao,
at 1,500 meters, is Camiguins highest peak and only recommended
for the serious trekker. Soak in the cool, clear water with
your own “private pool” at Rainbow Falls
as you near the top. |

BEACHES: We
can thank our Camiguin volcanoes for the beautiful black sand
beaches (Agoho, Yumbing, Bug-ong and Cabua-An) that surround
our island. Many a visitor has said that if only Camiguin had
white sand beaches (we do have a few – just need to know
where to go) it would be packed with tourists. We think our
clean, spacious and unspoiled beaches are among the best to
be found and are thankful they aren’t packed wall to wall
with bodies. |
>> OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST:
Additional spots to visit include the Old Catarman Church
Ruins and the Sunken
Cemetery
where original burial land was lost to the 1871 eruption of
the Old Volcano. Mantigue
Island
is popular with day trippers, snorkelers and divers alike with
its protected fish sanctuary and white sandy beaches. The Taguines
Lagoon offers a look at the Camiguin sunrise or a cool
afternoon with your favorite seafood caught and cooked to order.
